“If you can’t beat them, join them. If you can’t join them, kill them all,” declared the California misfits that are Odd Future. Our client, wireless speaker brand Boombotix, decided to join them. Good idea. The collective’s unruly creativity was a perfect match for Boombotix’s
“Sound of the Brave” positioning.
Odd Future, ever aware of the power of branding, had a say in our design development for this collab. Their request? A punk aesthetic. No problem. The Vehicle design crew enjoyed revisiting the black and white copier as an image generator.
This program included package design, in-store displays, and digital components for both Boombotix.com and social media. These collabs with genre-stretching artists helped Boombotix stand out in the crowded wireless speaker space, setting the brand apart from tamer consumer electronic brands.
